Yesterday, we celebrated PEACE DAY together and we made crafts and coloring pages. Also, children in grades 5 and 6 made a big chart with all of their good proposals for getting PEACE. THANK YOU to all of you (children and teachers) and remember that every day in the year....is the PEACE DAY.
Spanish schools celebrate the School Day of Non-violence and Peace on January 30 every year.
We usually sing famous peaceful songs and make crafts related to love and peace. However, Peace Day is more than this. It´s a day for being conscious that love and peace are very neccesary nowadays and feeling solidarity with those than live in the poverty and war.
We celebrate it on this day because the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi .
Giant steps are what you take
Walking on the moon
I hope my legs don't break
Walking on the moon
We could walk forever
Walking on the moon
We could live together
Walking on, walking on the moon
Walking back from your house
Walking on the moon
Walking back from your house
Walking on the moon
Feet they hardly touch the ground
Walking on the moon
My feet don't hardly make no sound
Walking on, walking on the moon
Some may say
I'm wishing my days away
No way
And if it's the price I pay
Some say
Tomorrow's another day
You stay
I may as well play
Giant steps are what you take
Walking on the moon
I hope my legs don't break
Walking on the moon
We could walk forever
Walking on the moon
We could be together
Walking on, walking on the moon
Some may say
I'm wishing my days away
No way
And if it's the price I pay
Some say
Tomorrow's another day
You stay
I may as well play
Keep it up, keep it up
